The Northern New Mexico Potters Trail is a group of
emerging and professional potters living and working in
the Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico areas.

The Trail begins in Santa Fe, with 6 potteries either
within walking distance of the plaza or a 5 to 10 minute
drive from downtown. From there visitors can either
travel north to the Rio Grande, Abiquiu and Taos areas,
or go south towards the Galisteo Basin which includes
the community of Eldorado and the village of Galisteo.

We encourage visitors to take a weekend and enjoy the
entire trail, if time allows,or visit any of of the individual
loops as a scenic day trip. The Santa Fe section of the
Trail may be visited in a morning or an afternoon, if time
is limited. The detailed map will guide you not only to many
local potteries, but also past some of northern New Mexico’s
most beautiful and historic rural areas. These landscapes
have much to offer any season of the year; visitors may
enjoy the fall colors of the cottonwoods along the Galisteo
River or see the hollyhocks in bloom all summer long
throughout Santa Fe.

We invite you for the weekend or just a day, as our studios
beckon you to experience the love of our craft, the
opportunity to meet us, and the chance to take home
a piece of New Mexico. Enjoy!
